Arrests over machete incident in Sale

FOUR people were arrested after police were called to a violent dispute between neighbours in Rossetti Court, Sale, just before midnight Thursday.

It was reported a man with a machete and a pole was assaulting people in the street.

When police arrived they found about 10 people in the street.

A 36-year-old man was taken to Sale hospital with non-life threatening injuries after allegedly being struck with a golf club.

A 47-year-old Sale man was interviewed and released on summons.

A 52-year-old Sale woman and a 33-year-old Sale man were charged with affray and other offences and bailed to appear at Sale Magistrates’ Court in February.

A 31-year-old male appeared before court on Friday and was granted bail.
