A LOST trail bike rider was found by the Victoria Police air wing in dense bushland on Friday night after becoming disorientated in Tyers.
Police were told the Tyers man was trail bike riding throughout the day in an area along Tyers-Walhalla Rd when he became bogged about 7.45pm.
He tried to get out and became lost in dense bushland.
With minimal mobile service, the 37-year-old managed to eventually made contact with his partner, who phoned emergency services.
Local police, with the assistance of the SES, found the missing man’s car on a track in Boola near Coopers Creek Rd after a ground search.
The air wing was called in and found the man, who helped alert them to his location with a flash light.
Ground crews on foot were then guided to the man.
The well prepared rider did not have any injuries and did not need medical treatment.
