Three big hours

SALE Business and Tourism Association’s three hour sale on Saturday has been applauded for creating a great sense of enjoyment and fun, along with offering a great range of bargains.

SBTA executive officer Naomi Cranston told the Gippsland Times the many colourful street stalls outside businesses and the range of activities in the pedestrian mall created a ‘good vibe’.

“The weather was great and people enjoyed all the action in the mall, lots were carrying shopping bags from local businesses and the fun activities did well.

“We are yet to do a full follow through on the three hour sale, but the business owners I have spoken to said they had been busy,” Ms Cranston said.

Shoppers wandering through the pedestrian mall were entertained with Sale Tennis Club’s Hot Shots tennis for children, a jumping castle, Sale Turf Club display with the Sale Cup, face painting for children, the Lions’ barbecue and displays from Federation Training and Cervis Equipment Maffra.

SBTA will continue its services for local businesses with its next breakfast meeting on November 9 including guest speaker Sale police Inspector Rob Wallace talking about crime statistics and security for local businesses.
