THE Sale Show has begun, with plenty to see and do.
New rides like the Pirate Ship and old favourites like the Hurricane will be running, while a photography exhibition and display of schoolchildren’s artwork will be in the pavilions.
The national carrot cake competition will take place, and a Taste of Gippsland will have local producers selling their wares.
Committee member Matt Stagg said the night carnival will be bigger and better.
“Sam Xuereb, who organises the monster trucks, is bringing a couple of new things this year,” he said.
“The fireworks is going to be a bigger show than we had last year, and that was our biggest yet.”
Equestrian and showjumping events will also be bigger than last year, after other regional shows had to close down.
This morning, a milking demonstration will take place for the younger children, with lots of other farm animals to look at.
