Cars tear up Rosedale junior football oval

TWO local football clubs were the target of vandals and thieves at the weekend.

The junior oval at Rosedale Recreation Reserve was damaged about 3.45am on Saturday morning, when a red Commodore utility and a silver VT Commodore sedan were spotted tearing up the grounds.

It is the third time in recent years that Rosedale Football-Netball Club grounds have been targeted.

A similar spree on the senior oval took place in June, 2016.

On Saturday night, Sale City Football-Netball Club’s scoreboard at Stephenson Park was broken into, causing extensive damage to the door.

According to the club’s Facebook page, Sherrin footballs were stolen, and there was blood at the scene.
