CONSTRUCTION of the new Sale ambulance branch building is in its final stages, and expected to be complete in June.
Ambulance Victoria Gippsland regional director Simon Jemmett said the new branch would provide paramedics with a fully integrated training facility and modern amenities.
“This will ensure our patients in the Sale community and greater region receive outstanding emergency health care every time,” he said.
Ambulance Victoria demolished the old ambulance branch building, constructed in 1959, to build a new, state-of-the-art one on the same site in Cunninghame St.
Paramedics have been moved to temporary premises while the building and fitting out works take place.
It was initially anticipated the new station would be completed by the end of last year.
An official opening is anticipated later in the year.
