Driver pulled over twice within minutes

A 27-YEAR-old man will find himself in court after being pulled over by police twice within minutes in Moe early Saturday morning.

Latrobe Highway Patrol members spotted the driver doing a burnout on Wirraway St shortly after midnight.

He then admitted to police that he had been pulled over by state highway patrol members on the same street only minutes earlier where he was found to be driving an unregistered vehicle while suspended.

He was also drug tested and allegedly returned a positive reading to cannabis.

The Moe man is expected to be charged on summons with careless driving, failing to obey a lawful direction by police and two counts of drug driving and driving while suspended.
