A PEDESTRIAN has died after being hit by a car near Rosedale early this (Wednesday) morning.
It is believed a man was struck by a car which travelling along Rosedale-Longford Road about 1.35am.
The driver, a 55-year-old Traralgon man, immediately stopped to assist.
The pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
Police are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the collision and the investigation is ongoing.
Rosedale-Longford Rd is expected to remain closed from the intersection of Mill Lane.
