A touch of class

YEAR three and four students at Gippsland Grammar have extra reason to be excited for school, after a new state-of-the-art learning centre was unveiled at Gippsland Grammar’s St Anne’s campus on Wednesday.

The building — named Kukun Kalak, which is Gunaikurnai for ‘grandmother tree’ after the school’s re-purposed elm tree — features four classrooms, common learning spaces, an amphitheatre, toilets and a shared kitchen.

The climate-controlled classrooms feature interactive white boards with high-speed internet access and full wireless projection capabilities, as well as computer tablets for students.
