POLICE are appealing for information to identify a party of spotlighters involved at a shooting at the Rumpffs Flat camping ground, near Licola, on May 14.
A man is lucky not to have been shot when spotlighters fired near his swag on May 14 and killed his pet dog.
He told police he was woken about 10.30pm by spotlights being shone toward his campsite, and then heard two shots fired.
The next morning the man woke to find that his dog, which was chained to the foot of his swag, was dead.
He described the spotlighters’ vehicle as a dual-cab utility, which drove off towards Licola.
