Car impounded, and driver to face court

A DRIVER will face court for a range of traffic-related offences, after being intercepted by police in Stratford on Sunday.

Stratford police stopped the man about 2pm on the Princes Highway in Stratford, discovering he was unlicensed, the vehicle was unregistered and he was displaying false number plates.

The vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1005, and the driver will be summoned at a later date for traffic-related offences.

A 42-YEAR-old Bairnsdale woman has been charged with drug offences following a search last Friday.

Bairnsdale Police executed the search warrant, allegedly finding cash and a drug of dependence, which were seized.

Police say the woman, who is currently on bail, is expected to be charged in relation to trafficking and possessing a drug of dependence.
