A 75-MEGAWATT solar farm near Toongabbie has been approved by state Planning Minister Richard Wynne.
The $110 million farm will span 110 hectares two kilometres south of Toongabbie, with proponents saying it will generate enough electricity for 29,000 homes.
It is envisaged construction will begin in 2021, and the farm will be fully operational in 2022.
Frasers Solar Farm project proponents say about 250 direct and indirect jobs will be created during the approximate 12-month construction phase, and four permanent jobs once in operation.
