Police say the crash between a white Holden Barina and a Daihatsu happened on the Sale-Maffra Rd about 5pm, as one of the drivers was preparing to turn left into the Sale Cemetery.
The collision resulted in the Daihatsu rolling onto its roof, and the Barina subsequently collided with the cemetery fence, causing damage to the fence.
A 19-year-old man and 72 year-old woman from Sale in the Barina, and a 46-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl from Maffra in the Daihatsu, were all taken to hospital with minor injuries and for observation.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged and towed from the scene.
Emergency services, including ambulance and police, attended.
Police said investigations were continuing, and no charges had been laid as yet.
