GIPPSLAND public school teachers, principals and support staff are joining the campaign launched by the Australian Education Union for a new Victorian Government Schools Agreement, which nominally expired last Friday.
The union says excessive workloads for principals, teachers and support staff must be addressed by the government in a new agreement through the employment of additional staff in public schools.
AEU Victorian branch president Meredith Peace said Gippsland government school teachers, principals and support staff were overworked and underpaid.
