Young driver dies following Dutson crash

A 24-YEAR-old Melbourne man has died in hospital as a result of extensive injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Dutson on Monday.
Emergency services were called after a truck and a utility collided about 11.45am on the Longford-Loch Sport Rd.
The injured driver was airlifted to Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital, but died on Tuesday.
There were no passengers in either vehicle, and the 26-year-old truck driver, from the Latrobe Valley, was not injured.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, and are seeking dash camera footage and information from the drivers of other vehicles in the area around the time of the collision. They are being urged to phone Sale police on 5142 2200.
