Sale Show cancelled

THE Sale Show, which was scheduled for October 29 to 31, has been cancelled for the second consecutive year.
Via a statement, Sale and District Agricultural Society cited major operational constraints, challenges and risks in holding major events during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly those with large free roaming crowds, as the reasons behind cancelling the popular event.
“We understand that this will be disappointing to many people and we also understand that it is a very difficult time for our sponsors and traders who will have been hit very hard due to the virus,” the statement reads.
“We will endeavour to hold some smaller events in the coming months that may include a dairy show, beef cattle show and exhibition building show including arts and crafts show.”
More information will be made available via the society’s website and Facebook page.

Last week, the Maffra Show was, also cancelled a second time.
