POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding two burglaries and theft of a motor vehicle in Maffra on Sunday, July 17.

It is believed the offender/s attended the Maffra football ground, Maffra-Newry Road, at about 3.05am where they stole a vehicle and then committed a burglary.

It is also believed that the same offender/s then attended a Laura Street business at about 3.30am and stole a number of items.

The offenders are described as male with a large build who was wearing a hooded jumper and a female with a medium build.

Investigators have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with enquiries.

Impound – suspended licence

AROUND 12.20am on Thursday, August 11 while patrolling MacArthur St, Sale, police observed a Toyota Sedan with a tail-light out.

Members intercepted the vehicle in Elgin

St, with Sale Police saying that the driver, a 49-year-old female from the Dandenong area, was driving while her licence was suspended.

Due to this, the vehicle was impounded (pictured) for a period of 28 days at a cost of $1005.00.

The woman is expected to be charged and summonsed to appear at court at a later date.
