ON Tuesday August 23, Greg Lynn, 55, appeared via video link in the Sale Magistrates’ Court charged with the murders of Russell Hill and Carol Clay, who vanished from their campsite in the Wonnangatta Valley in March 2020. Other campers found their burnt out campsite.

The human remains found near Dargo in November 2021 were confirmed by Victoria Police to be that of Mr Clay and Mr Hill.

The prosecution said investigators may do a further search at Wonnangatta and Mount Hotham to continue building their case against Lynn, a former pilot.

The defence said they did not have access to evidence that the police had gathered against Lynn, including surveillance of his home and vehicle.

Lynn did not apply for bail and will return to court on January 16 next year.

He has pleaded not guilty.
