Police have charged a 38-year-old male following a crash that killed a woman and seriously injured a child in Flynn on Monday, May 8.
The man of no fixed address has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing serious injury, unlicenced driving and driving an unregistered car.
Emergency Services were called to Rosedale Flynns Creek Road just before 8pm on Monday after a Ford Falcon sedan crashed into a tree.
The female passenger, a 31-year-old woman with no fixed address, died at the scene.
Another passenger, an 11-year-old boy, was flown to hospital with serious injuries.
The 38-year-old driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries under police guard.
He will appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court today.
