I sought the opinions of my three grandchildren on gay marriage.
Along with their friends, they can’t see what the big fuss is about.
Many believe it is the older generation not listening to their opinions that is the barrier to the Commonwealth parliament conducting a conscience vote to legislate gay marriages.
Listening to the voices of my grandchildren, I believe they may just be right.
As they said, “Nana what is the big deal love is sacred between two people, so why is love different between persons of same gender?”
They did agree if when legislated, it should only be for civil marriages, not religious.
