I DO not understand why there is resistance by a minority to exclude consenting adults from being married.
I thought ‘do unto others as they would do unto you’ would prevail over exclusion and prejudice, and churches and citizens’ focus could be turned to address other concerns where charity and compassion is not prevailing in the world.
Survey after survey finds a large majority of Australians support marriage equality and I’m glad our local federal member’s vote will reflect this.
