Music festival first Saturday in March

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

PLANNING is well underway for the eighth Sale Music Festival: Picnic On The Green, to be held on Saturday, March 7, at the beautiful Sale Botanic Gardens.

This free event for the whole family has always been an extremely popular and well attended day out.

The festival, normally held on the Sunday of the Labour Day long weekend, is being conducted, for this year only, on the Saturday, to enable another musical event to be conducted on the Sunday at Stephenson Park.

A fine line-up of first class local and wider Gippsland talent, catering for a wide range of musical tastes, will provide continuous entertainment for the whole day from 11am through until 7pm.

The line-up for the day is available on the Sale Music Festival website.

An extended range of free, creative, educational and musical activities for children will be available throughout the day from 11am through until the late afternoon.

Food and refreshments will be provided by local service clubs for those who prefer not to take their own picnic supplies.

All money raised by the local service clubs providing refreshments will be used by these groups for their varied local community purposes.

The opportunity will also be available for those wanting to donate to the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund to support those affected by the current bushfire crisis.

Please keep the date in mind.

Take along your family, friends from out of town and enjoy a marvellous day of free entertainment for everyone in our picturesque Sale Botanic Gardens.
