White-black wedge is being driven

Robert T. Lonnee, Sale

SOCIAL media is driving a wedge between black and white, the hatred or criticism (for that is what it is) is widening the gap.

Those in authority are reluctant to take a stand on the actuations, demands and hooha of a minority, for risk of offending.

The adage of “stop living in the past and move on”, is not working when we have destruction occurring by objectors who have no regard for police, authority, respect to others or property.

I believe those organising these rallies and demonstrations are hiring activists or being manipulated to “stir the possum”.

Likewise, the media is aiding and abetting them in the coverage they provide to boost their sales.

The words “We are one, but we are many, and from all the lands on Earth we come. We’ll share a dream and sing with one voice, I am, you are, we are Australian” may never come to fruition while this conflict continues.

Will it and the demands ever end?
