Champions on goal difference

Sale United's under 15 boys' team claimed the Football Victoria Latrobe Valley championship in thrilling fashion on August 15. Sale and East Gippsland Gold finished the season level on 33 points, but a 10-0 win over East Gippsland Blue in the final round gave Sale a superior goal difference to claim the championship. The team will now be looking to win the cup to go with its league triumph. Sale United also claimed the division three championship, while its under 17 team missed out on top spot on goal difference.
