THE top five teams on the North Gippsland netball ladder are locked on 12 points.
Rosedale had the bye, but ended the fourth round in top spot after previous ladder leader Woodside suffered a 62-42 loss to Sale City at Stephenson Park.
It proved a handy win for the Bulldogs, who are now one of the five sides on 12 points.
Heyfield was another beneficiary of the Wildcats’ loss, bouncing into second place on percentage after its comfortable 66-27 win over Gormandale.
The Kangaroos hopped out of the blocks and never looked in danger of defeat against the win-less Tigers, who sit on the bottom of the ladder.
The other side with three wins is Yarram, which produced the most complete performance of its season to defeat Traralgon-Tyers United 63-36 in Tyers.
Churchill and Glengarry are just two points adrift of the pace-setting five.
The Cougars registered a second victory of the season in Cowwarr, 42-26.
Glengarry extended Yallourn-Yallourn North’s win-less start to life in the NGFNL, defeating the Bombers 48-33.
YYN heads a list of four clubs yet to score a win this season, alongside Cowwarr, TTU and Gormandale. That statistic is likely to change this Saturday, when YYN hosts Cowwarr.
WY Yung is the only A grade team this East Gippsland netball season to win both its opening two matches.

Following a win in Stratford to begin their season, the Bombers slipped to fifth place on the ladder, outside the top four on percentage.
Stratford recorded the first win of its premiership defence, proving too strong for Lucknow at home, winning 54-19. The Swans are now in third place on the ladder ahead of a home against ladder leader Wy Yung this Saturday.
Lindenow defeated Lakes Entrance 39-35 at home. The Cats moved into fourth place following their first win of the season, while Lakes is the only side yet to win a game, although has a draw.
