Huffer shows class in Hawaii mile-long race

Craig Huffer was back on the big stage, finishing eighth in the prestigious Kalakaua Merri Mile in Hawaii USA.

Last weekend, Huffer’s running a time of 4:02.03 for the Road Mile saw him finish ahead of Olympic Gold medalist Matthew Centrowitz in an international field.

Some other Gippsland Track Club Athletes competed over the weekend in Adelaide at the Australian All Schools Track and Field Championships.

Elly Fleming (under 17 girls) came second in the 800m, running a personal best 2.12.17.

Kaydence Fleming (under 14 girls) ran a PB in the 400m (59.34) and Grace Graafsma (under 14 girls) came eighth in the 800m (2:23.20) and seventh in the 1500m (5:00.02).

Grace recently also broke the Under 14 Victoria Country 1k record with a time of 3:06.7.
