The annual Town vs Country match, featuring some of the most promising Under-12 cricketers in the Sale-Maffra Cricket Association, is around the corner.

Now into its 18th year, the fixture has become a popular event on the junior calendar.

Inaugurated by Stratford Cricket Club, the game is designed to be a great opportunity for some of the best young players in the SMCA to get to know each other and showcase their ability.

It is a tradition that looks set to stand the test of time, and has featured many youngsters in the past who have gone on to be greats of the SMCA.

Town vs Country will be held Sunday, February 5 at Stratford Recreation Reserve from 9am.
