Maffra Hockey Club began its season at the start of the month, with the first week of HookIn2Hockey.
Hookin2Hockey gives children the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey.
As the official program of Hockey Australia, this introductory program is aimed at primary school aged children and includes skill based games in a fun and safe environment.
Maffra will be hosting the program for six weeks leading into the hockey season which will begin in late April.
Maffra is also encouraging players of all ages to give hockey a go in 2023. The club fields teams for men, women, under 18, under 15, under 13 and under 11.
