BUNDALAGUAH cricketer Patrick Horan recently won the JG Craig Shield with Croydon Cricket Club.
The JG Craig Shield is played for between under 15 teams in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association, and is often seen as a stepping stone to higher honours.
Croydon won the title after defeating Brighton by five wickets.
Unfortunately for Horan, he was trapped in front for a third-baller opening the innings in the Grand Final, but contributed runs elsewhere throughout the January tournament.
He made scores of 21 and 28 in the two finals preceding the Grand Final, as well as a 31 in the Round 3 match against Endeavour Hills.
Horan was joined by Leongatha’s Jobe Williams in the winning Croydon side.
