MAFFRA Eagles Under 12 girls are off to Bendigo today for the Basketball Victoria Junior Country Championships.
The team progressed to the championships after going through two local tournaments undefeated.
Maffra won the Traralgon tournament by four points, beating the hosts 32-28.
This followed victory at the Sale tournament, where the Eagles triumphed 30-17, also over Traralgon.
The championships start today, and conclude Sunday at the Red Energy Arena, Bendigo.
The Bendigo complex has 10 courts, which are expected to be at capacity over the weekend.
More than 300 boys and girls teams take part in Basketball Victoria tournaments yearly.
