DARRIMAN trainer Bill McMahon had two winners during Sunday night’s Sale greyhound meeting.
McMahon had a quinella in the 440 metre free for all, with Berdeen, following her win in Sale last month, winning by a length from Claydon.
Earlier, Harrigan won a heat of the 440m mixed grade six and seven series. Collinda Dodge, trained by Steph Tyler at Boisdale, finished fourth to also book a place in next Sunday’s final.
The McMahon kennels will also be represented in the final by Dr Topaz and Dr Santiago, who qualified through the other heat.
Swift By Design, trained by Carolyn Jones at Rosedale, won a 520m grade five by seven lengths from Variation, trained by Matt Clark at Briagolong.
Omega Dodge, trained by Barry Harper at Seaspray, cleared away in the home straight to win a 440m grade five.
Another 440m grade five was won by Lara’s Love for Dawn Johnston at Boisdale.
ON Friday night in Sale, Clark’s Old Man Trapper followed a win at the track the previous Sunday by taking out a 440m grade seven. Finishing two lengths behind was Elswyk Storm, trained by Rachael Busuttil at Kilmany.
In a 520m mixed grade four and five, Clark’s Alarm Response went out to the lead, but was pipped at the post by William Rose, trained by Sharon-Lee Chignell at Rosedale.
Just 0.86 of a second separated the first five dogs in one of the 440m grade five races, which was won by He’s A Minstrel for Corey Fulford at Bundalaguah.
Dr Luna, trained by Judy McMahon at Darriman, produced a big finish to win another 400m grade five by a nose.
