Award-winning film Just A Farmer will be screening at Maffco Brewery, Maffra, on Thursday, October 30.
This powerful film captures the struggles and triumphs of rural life, with a deep focus on mental health awareness and community resilience.
“Mental health is often a silent struggle in farming communities,” farmer and Maffco co-owner Nicky Reeves said.
“This film brings that reality to the forefront, starting conversations that can change lives.”
The event will feature a post-screening question and answer session with special guest, film writer and director Leah McDougall, where attendees can discuss the film’s themes and share their own experiences.
This is a free community screening and dinner.
Dinner will be served from 6pm, with the movie screening from 7pm before the Q&A from 8.30pm.
Just A Farmer has already moved audiences across Australia, with attendees calling it “a must-watch for every rural community”.
