THE Middle of Everywhere Anzac Week Airshow is set to soar once again at West Sale Airport on the weekend of April 18 and 19, bringing with it a thrilling celebration of aviation, the ANZAC spirit and regional pride.
After reaching capacity attendance in 2024, this year’s Anzac Week Airshow promises to build on its momentum to be bigger and bolder than ever.
Attendees can expect awe-inspiring aerobatic displays, military and civilian aircraft fly-bys and static aircraft exhibits that offer a rare chance to get up close to some of the most remarkable flying machines in the skies today.

A major highlight will be a performance by former RAAF pilot and Red Bull Air Race World Champion Matt Hall, whose high-octane aerobatics are sure to leave spectators breathless.
Beyond the skies, the airshow will feature live music from local artists; the popular Wings & Heels vintage fashion show; classic car and motorcycle displays; food vans serving Gippsland’s finest local produce; business exhibits and trade stalls, and fly-in and near-wing camping options for visiting pilots.
Wellington Shire mayor Cindy Madeley said the Anzac Week Airshow was a stand-out event on the regional calendar.
“We’re proud to see it return to West Sale Airport,” he said.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase the spirit of our community, welcome visitors to the Middle of Everywhere, and highlight the incredible natural and cultural attractions across Wellington Shire. We’re excited to once again bring people together to celebrate aviation and regional pride.”

The event also serves as a pivotal driver for local tourism and economic development, with previous years showing substantial benefits for accommodation providers, pubs and clubs due to the influx of visitors – highlighting its broad impact across multiple industries and sectors.
This year, the event is supported by the state government’s Regional Events Fund, which aims to attract visitors to regional Victoria, delivering economic impact, creating jobs, and supporting local business.
The event will run from 10am to 4pm each day.
In a welcome change for families, entry is now free for spectators under 14 years of age.
