Writer says no to ‘gay marriage’

LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

I SAY no to Bill Shorten on the issue of homosexual (gay) marriage.

These people are not disadvantaged, discriminated against or missing out on marriage equality.

They are no more qualified for marriage than me and my cat.

I love him and he loves me.

Am I missing out on marriage equality?

No. It does not apply.

Marriage was made for a man and woman, not same sex love, not animal pet love or anything else that Mr Shorten may want to mix it up with.

I am not against homosexual (gay) relationships at all.

Just don’t call it, or try and make it, marriage.

Mr Shorten also made the statement that 72 per cent of the population are now in favour.

This is just not true Mr Shorten.

Another mistake or untruth.

I would make a guess that if a true community census was undertaken, it would show 70 to 80 per cent plus are against.

Most that are not in favour do not state their feelings.

This works for gay lobby groups who ensure all gays have a say.

I urge all those who are against homosexual or gay (as they want to call it) marriage, put pen to paper and write to your local federal member and newspapers to let them know the truth.

Make the effort. Use my words if you like, but let’s do it.
