POLICE are urging people to be more attentive about personal security during the holiday period.
This includes making sure cars are locked, especially when shopping and at night when cars are parked in carports and on streets.
Valuables should not be visible.
Residential information kits, with information about security, personal safety, and party safe information, are available from the front foyer at Sale police station. Absence from residence forms are also in the kits.
Police are also urging locals to be party safe and register their parties this festive season.
To register a party, visit www.police.vic.gov.au and look for the initiatives and programs heading in the left hand column.
Click on the heading and the party safe icon will be visible, which will link to an online registration form.
The initiative and programs icon also provides links to other information that may be of interest.
For more information, phone Bruce Dawkins at Sale Police Station on 5143 5000.
