Angels sing for baby Jesus at Newry Christmas Pageant

ANGELS dressed in white performed Christmas songs to welcome baby Jesus to the world during the annual Newry Christmas Pageant on Saturday night.

The angels in heaven were having a tea party when the “Angel Express” newspaper announced that Jesus, the son of God, was about to be born.

The angels decided to learn a song for the big event to welcome the special baby, but there wasn’t much time to prepare.

Between rehearsals, the newspaper gave updates of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, the big star in the sky, the shepherds in the fields and the arrival of the kings at the stable.

The angel choir was ready in time and sang beautifully to the baby.

This year’s baby Jesus was played by newborn Mila Adams, daughter of Steve and Sarah Adams. Steve is the pastor at the Maffra Community Church.

Mila played her part well and slept through most of the performance.
