BRIAGOLONG Primary School students were so excited to get back to onsite learning and see their friends on Monday, principal Mark Donald delayed ringing the morning bell to allow for some extra “catch up time” for the 77 students.
“The students were really happy to be back and there so much chatter going on in the morning we decided to hold off ringing the bell for a while to let them catch up with each other,” he said.
“It’s really great to have them back.”
Mr Donald said the new term coincided with a brand new bus to make the trip to and from school and bit more comfortable and safer.
The new bus has all the bells and whistles, including seat belts.
“We have had an older bus for so long, so it’s lovely to get this new one and hopefully we’ll get more children using it,” he said.
