As we approach the end of 2022, we have a lot to celebrate.
This year, the resilience of our local community shone through, and we proved that we are better when we work together.
As another year draws to a close, I am reminded of the work we have done to achieve the priorities of our Council Plan and create happy, healthy and connected communities.
I am excited for the future, following the growth that we have experienced this year.
We took huge steps towards a renewable energy future, and we have secured our place as a leader in Gippsland’s new energy transition.
We continue to build a healthy Wellington – from new infrastructure and improved services to a greener Wellington, enhanced arts, culture and events, investment and growth, sustainability and climate change, and everything in between.
As I reflect on our successes, I am also reminded of the challenges this year has brought.
I am proud of the work we have done, and I am looking forward to building on this year’s achievements in 2023 and beyond.
