THE families and educators at Gwenfa Hampton Kindergarten, Sale are very happy not to have to wade through water to get to the kindergarten front door.

This certainly would have been the case last term and with the heavy rains experienced a week ago, the footpath would have certainly been inundated if a trench gate had not been installed during the recent school holidays.

This was made possible due to a Wellington Shire Community Assistance grant which funded this much-needed project, making the kindergarten accessible to its families and educators whatever the weather.

The Gwenfa Hampton families have thanked the Shire for keeping their feet dry.
