Lemons hurled at cars in Stratford

STRATFORD police have received four reports in the past six weeks of cars being struck by lemons as they crossed the Avon River bridge at Stratford.

According to police, the incidents appeared to be happening between 9pm and 10pm on weeknights.

It is unclear whether the lemons are being thrown or discharged via a ‘pipe gun’ or something similar.

There has been no damage to vehicles, but police are concerned at the potential of a collision if a motorist swerves after their vehicle has been struck.

People with information are being urged to phone Stratford police on 5145 6404 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
