Cowwarr, Giffard West accidents

SALE police are investigating a single vehicle car accident at Cowwarr about 6.30am Thursday morning.

Police said the driver, a 29-year-old Traralgon man was likely to be charged with careless driving, after he allegedly lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the car rolling onto its roof.

Police said the driver and single passenger did not suffer any serious injuries.

Sale police and the CFA were called to the scene, and police believe speed could have been a contributing factor.

Meanwhile, a Gippsland man who crashed his car at Giffard West about 6.30am Thursday morning is likely to be charged with careless driving.

Police said the driver, aged in his late teens to early 20s, fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a tree.

He was taken to Central Gippsland Health Service, Sale with non life threatening injuries.
