TRAIN services are set to resume between Moe and Traralgon on Monday following the completion of works on the Morwell River rail bridge.
The first train service to travel over the new bridge with will be the 4.36am Traralgon to Southern Cross train on Monday morning.
From Monday the normal Gippsland timetable will be active.
Because of urgent track works on the Morwell River bridge, coaches have replaced trains between Moe and Traralgon since October 24. Coaches from Traralgon and Morwell have depart 15 minutes earlier than scheduled to ensure on-time arrival of trains into Melbourne.
Travel along the Gippsland line has been free to passengers.
Normal fares will apply on the Gippsland line from Monday.
Passengers travelling to and from stations from Traralgon to the west will need a myki card, while those travelling to and from stations east of Traralgon will need a V/Line paper ticket.
