Rosedale burglary

POLICE are investigating a burglary at a cafe  in Rosedale that happened in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police alleged an unknown number of offenders stole a small amount of cash from the property.

YARRAM police are investigating a number of incidents in the township over the weekend.

It is believed a group of men were involved in an altercation in Commercial Rd about 9pm on Saturday night.

Any witnesses to the incident have been asked to phone Yarram police.

Police also responded to reports of vandalism at the Yarram Secondary College oval over the weekend.

An unknown number of offenders reportedly knocked over a football post and did ‘wheelies’, damaging the surface of the sports ground.

The damage is believed to have happened sometime between Friday night and Sunday morning.

POLICE and CFA were called to a house fire in Denison just before midnight on Wednesday night.

Police said the fire had destroyed most of the house but no one was home at the time.

Investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire.
