A 23-YEAR-old Rosedale man was taken to hospital in a stable condition after a collision with three cows on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened on the Heyfield-Rosedale Rd at Winnindoo after the cows escaped from their paddock.
Sale police said the man suffered minor injuries and the cows had to be destroyed.
Police have urged farmers to check their fences following a number similar incidents this year.
A STRATFORD man aged in his 40s had his licence immediately suspended after he was allegedly caught drink driving on Wednesday night.
Briagolong police said the man was randomly intercepted on the Princes Highway at Montgomery and recorded a BAC which exceeded the legal limit.
The man was taken to Sale police station where he allegedly returned a BAC reading of 0.096. His is expected to be charged on summons for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
Over the coming weeks, police will be conducting a number of traffic operations locally, targeting speed and drink driving.
