A 22-YEAR-old local man is in the Royal Melbourne Hospital with suspected spinal injuries after his car veered off the road and rolled down an embankment near Blanket Hill last Friday.
Police said the local man was driving along Licola Rd when he swerved to miss a deer, and his vehicle rolled down a 20 metre embankment.
The man reportedly got out of the vehicle, made his way up to the road and flagged down a passing motorist.
The passer-by took the man to Heyfield hospital but because of his injuries, he was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
The accident is being investigated.
Police would like to speak to witnesses and the passer-by who took the man to the hospital.
