Two men killed in Stockdale crash

TWO Briagolong men have died, while a Bushy Park man has serious injuries, following a crash in Stockdale on Saturday morning.

Three men in a Holden dual-cab utility were travelling west along the Stockdale-Fernbank Rd, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver, a 63-year-old Bushy Park man, was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital with serious injuries.

The two passengers, a 45-year-old man and a 60-year-old man, both from Briagolong, died at the scene.

A motorist notified police at 8.45am after coming across the crash scene and investigators are trying to determine the exact time the incident occurred.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating, with local police declining further comment until the outcome of those investigations.
