Bushfires near Dargo

BUSHFIRES north of Dargo are not yett under control.

Advices message were issued for the Talbotville, Crooked River and Dargo areas.

The fires were caused by lightning strikes on Wednesday afternoon.

The Sawmill Spur fire is currently 23 hectares, 17 kilometres north-north-west of Crooked River; the Sarah Spur fire is 13ha, 8km north northwest of Crooked River, and the White Timber Spur fire is a small fire, 16km north-north-east of Talbotville.

There was no threat to people, but they were advised to stay informed and monitor conditions.

Firefighters are responding to these fires, with aircraft and bulldozers operating in the areas.

Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads.
