TICKETS are still available for the inaugural Sale Country Music Festival, scheduled for November 18 and 19.
Taking place at Sale Turf Club, the two-day concert will showcase some of Australia’s best and emerging country-styled musicians.
This family-friendly event boasts a line-up that would rival even the most renowned country music festivals, featuring some of the most celebrated names in the Australian music scene.
The headline act is none other than the legendary Adam Brand.
Since bursting onto the scene with his celebrated self-titled debut album in 1998, Brand has netted 12 Golden Guitar Awards, six ARIA Award nominations and seven CMC Oz Artist of the Year Awards – more than any other artist in the awards’ short-lived history.
Across 15 studio albums, Brand has celebrated three Platinum and five Gold Album certifications, and is considered a fan-favourite performer Australia-wide.
Starting with the high-octane Built for Speed in 2002, Brand has enjoyed an unbroken string of top-charting ARIA Country albums.
Speed of Life in 2020 took out the No. 6 spot on the overall ARIA Albums Chart, marking Brand’s sixth studio album to make the Top 10.
As dozens of No.1 hit singles confirm, Brand ranks among the most successful Australian artists of all time.
Brand’s popularity is perhaps eclipsed only by one other: Shannon Noll, who will also be performing at the festival.
His story is one of Aussie folklore – a farmhand from Condabolin who was catapulted to stardom after becoming a runner-up on Australian Idol and releasing his cover of the classic Moving Pictures song “What About Me”.
Since then, “Nollsy” has earned consistent commercial success with seven Top 10 albums, including two multi-Platinum #1 ARIA albums, plus 17 Platinum and three Gold accreditations.
Additionally, he is the only Australian male artist in history to achieve ten consecutive Top Ten singles.
In 2020, Noll scored his first #1 on the Australian Country charts as a feature artist on Southbound’s single “Find Our Way”.
His latest album, RAW was released in May 2021, reaching #3 on ARIA Album charts.
“Nollsy” will be the final performer on the Friday evening. Preceding him will be Gareth Leach, who will kick-off his set at 5.15pm, followed by Michael Harrington and Jayne Denham.
Saturday’s line-up begins playing at 12.15pm, and will include Ella & Sienna, Gretta Ziller, Amber Lawrence, Casey Barnes and Travis Collins, before Adam Brand takes to the stage to cap-off the event.
Alongside the quality tunes, the event will also include an abundance of delicious bites from some Victoria’s best food trucks, alongside a slew of beers, wines, spirits and ciders from award-winning local breweries.
Organisers are also promising camping chairs for attendees and good vibes over the full two days.
