AN unbeaten 81 from captain Jason Langshaw set-up Bundalaguah’s victory over Wurruk in the latest round of Sale-Maffra twenty20 cricket.
Langshaw batted throughout the entire Bundalaguah innings on Tuesday night, helping the Bulls reach 7-152. Sam Bedggood, with 21, and James Read, 10, were the only other Bulls batsmen to reach double figures, while Nick Tourtoulas took two wickets for the Toads.
The most resistance in the Toads’ reply came during a 45-run third wicket stand between Michael Slack (45) and captain Bohdi Walker (13). However the loss of Walker triggered a steady fall of wickets with Wurruk finishing on 7-107.
Ben Saxon and Lachlan Wrigglesworth took two wickets each for the Bulls.
TOP side Collegians was too strong for Heyfield at home to remain unbeaten.
Matt Foster was unbeaten on 69 as Collegians posted 3-156. Foster featured in two strong partnerships, 82 with Elliot of Cafferkey, who scored 36, and 46 with at the end of the innings with Ben Hurley (20).
Heyfield made 8-110 in reply with Elliott Durrant claiming 4-10 for Collegians.
SALE won a tight contest against Boisdale-Briagolong to retain second spot on the ladder.
The Saints made 7-107 with Steve Noble scoring 39 and Mitchell Leeds 27.
Matt Raidal, Nico Watt and Mitchell Evans claimed two wickets each for the Swans.
It took until the second last over for Sale to pass the Saints’ total, finishing on 5-109.
Jarrod Moxey almost took the Swans to victory, but was dismissed for 46 with 15 runs still required. Evans scored 22.
