ROSEDALE-Kilmany last week claimed the first piece of silverware of the Sale-Maffra cricket season.
The Warriors defeated Collegians in the final of the SMCA twenty20 competition.
Asked to bat first by Collegians captain Jack Tatterson, the Warriors scored 6-127 from their 20 overs. Rohan Diamond top-scored with 35, with captain Isaac Love and Hayden Glover each making 20 late in the innings.
Collegians was bowled out for 85 in its 19th over. Tatterson scored 24 and Tom Hams 18.
Glover, Jake Benfield, Brandon McDonald and Brad Scott claimed two wickets each for the home side.
THE previous week, Rosedale-Kilmany booked its place in the final with victory over the Sale Flying Pigs in the semi-finals.
An unbeaten 60 from Rohan Diamond and 48 from Jake Benfield helped the Warriors score an imposing 3-174. David Dowdell took 3-16 for the Flying Pigs.
The visitors were all out for 80, with Matt Raidal top-scoring on 23. Brett Pryse took 3-17 for the Warriors.
Collegians advanced to the final after the Sale Flying Piglets forfeited the other semi-final.
